Message from Rob O’Neil,

Last night the Welsh Automotive Forum hosted Wales’s largest automotive event – our flagship Annual Networking Dinner. As our resilient sector continues to show strong signs of recovery, longer term benefits emanating from recent significant investments committing billions to transform our sector will provide exciting new economic growth opportunities. The highlight of our event continues to be the Stem Cymru EESW Engineering Student of the Year Award sponsored by Industry Wales which has yet again unearthed such exceptional talent that gives us hope and confidence for the future. Our runners-up & winner received their awards from Jeremy Miles MS Minister for Education & Welsh Language Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government. Our fantastic members, their guests & sponsors donated to such a worthy partner charity Ronald McDonald House Charities raising an astonishing £2,100. Thank you all. Our celebrity guest speaker international rugby legend and TV pundit Tom Shanklin entertained us with an absorbing & captivating Q&A. Many thanks to our event sponsors Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, DHL, Protium, Gestamp, Tri-Wall UK Limited, Caerbont Automotive Instruments Ltd, Wales Quality Centre, Control 2K and Haydale. In addition to our well established and successful supply chain, we were delighted to have OEM representation from JLR, Toyota Motor Corporation, Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd and HVS (Hydrogen Vehicle Systems) as well as our virtual guest recording from Face of The F1 Grid Walk & Sky commentator Martin Brundle.
Special thanks to the Welsh Automotive Forum Team Dana Williams, Alexandra George & Deborah Stewart for delivering an exceptional event. Great to see so many & thank you Lawrence Davies MBE,
